Welcome to Troop 701 – Waterbury

Troop 701 is chartered by the American Legion Post 59 here in Waterbury. While the troop has been quiet recently, we are actively recruiting new Scouts and families to restart regular troop activities this Spring with our first group of crossovers from Pack 711.

Our goal is to rebuild a strong, youth-led program that gives middle school and high school youth opportunities for adventure, leadership, and service. We expect growth to start small, but we are committed to doing our best to engage any youth who are interested in Scouting right away—whether through campouts, service projects, or joining in with neighboring troops until we have a full calendar of our own.

Parents and families play a key role in bringing a troop to life, and your involvement and support will help shape the next generation of Troop 701.
